One of the Jazz community’s favourite retreats, Ambleside in the picturesque Lake District in the north of England will see the 2nd edition of the Ambleside Days Jazz Festival. After the overwhelming response to last year’s event, round two will be starting on Thursday 30th August and conclude on Sunday 2nd September 2018.
One of the highlights is bound to be the reprise of the spellbinding Joe Locke–Gwilym Simcock combination.

Joe and Gwilym will re-unite for the set of the Joe Locke Group on 31st August with Gwilym Simcock on piano will also feature Darryl Hall (bass) and Alyn Cosker (drums) and special guests Mike Walker (guitar) and vocalist Claire Martin.
The 4-day festival programme also includes performances by Thomas Gould, Paul McCandless, Tim Garland, Asaf Sirkis, Nikki Iles, Jason Rebello, Mike Walker, Johannes Berauer, Bernhard Schimpelsberger, Mark Lockheart, Yuri Goloubev, John Helliwell.
